Delete Your Account

Delete from inside the app

1. Open the DermaGurus app and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
4. Type DELETE in the confirmation field and tap Delete Account.

Your account is immediately deactivated and you are signed out. Your data is fully removed after a 30-day grace period (described below).

If you can't sign in

If you've lost access to your phone number or otherwise can't sign in, email privacy@dermagurus.com from the email address on your account (or include enough detail to identify your account, such as your registered phone number). We will process the request within 7 business days.

What gets deleted

• Your name, email, and phone number
• Your profile photo and any skin photos you uploaded
• Your conversations with Cara, our AI assistant
• Your treatment progress entries and reminders
• Your consultation and payment history
• Your upcoming consultations, which are cancelled automatically

What we may retain

For a limited time, we may retain anonymised records that we are legally required to keep — for example, transactional records for tax and accounting compliance. These records do not contain your name, contact details, or any clinical information.

Timeline

• Day 0: Account deactivated; you are signed out and can no longer use the app with that phone number until you sign up again with it.
• Within 30 days: All personal data listed above is permanently removed from our systems.
• During the 30-day window you can sign up again as a new user with the same phone number; this creates a fresh account and does not restore your previous data.
