Terms of Service

By creating an account or using DermaGurus, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

DermaGurus reserves the right to add/remove/modify provisions in these terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice.

Continued use of the platform after modifications constitute acceptance of the new terms.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use DermaGurusindependently. Users between 13 and 18 may use the platform with parental or guardian consent.

DermaGurus provides a telemedicine platform connecting patients with licensed dermatologists. Our services include:

• Video consultations with qualified dermatologists
• AI-powered skin analysis and recommendations (Cara AI)
• Personalized treatment plan generation and tracking
• Daily skincare checklist management
• Progress photo documentation and timeline

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to update it as necessary.

You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

DermaGurus charges on a per-consultation basis — there are no subscriptions or recurring charges. When you book a consultation, you agree to the following:

• The price of each consultation is shown before you confirm your booking
• The full consultation fee is paid at the time of booking — there is no deposit and no balance due later
• Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment provider
• If you cancel a consultation at least 1 hour before its scheduled start time, you receive a full refund. Accepted refunds are processed to the original source account within 7 days
• Consultations that are missed without cancelling, or cancelled within the final hour, are not refundable — the doctor has reserved that time exclusively for you
• Every paid consultation includes one free follow-up video consultation with the same dermatologist, bookable within 30 days of your consultation. The follow-up is for reviewing your existing treatment plan; it carries no separate fee and no refund value, and it lapses if unused within that window
• Prices may change from time to time; the current price is always shown before you confirm a booking

We understand plans can change. At the same time, your doctor reserves this time exclusively for you, so the following rules apply:

• A consultation can be rescheduled up to 1 hour before its scheduled start time. Within the final hour before the consultation, rescheduling is no longer possible
• Each consultation can be rescheduled only once. After a booking has been rescheduled, it cannot be moved again
• A consultation can be cancelled up to 1 hour before its scheduled start time. Within the final hour before the consultation, cancellation is no longer possible
• Cancellations made at least 1 hour before the consultation are refunded in full, processed to the original source account within 7 days
• To cancel or reschedule, contact our support team through the app or our support channels

A booked slot is held exclusively for you and is closed to every other patient for that period, and the dermatologist attends and waits for you. Not attending is not the same as cancelling.

• If you do not join a scheduled consultation, and have not cancelled or rescheduled it at least 1 hour beforehand, it is recorded as a no-show
• A no-show consultation is treated as delivered. The dermatologist's time was reserved and attended, so the fee for that consultation is not refunded
• These terms apply to all consultations, including fully paid ones. Payment reserves the dermatologist's time; it does not remove the requirement to attend, or to cancel in advance
• Following a no-show, we may decline to schedule further consultations for that account
• If you are unable to attend, tell us before the consultation starts. If something prevents you from joining, contact support immediately, while the dermatologist is still waiting, so we can help

DermaGurus facilitates access to dermatological consultations but is not a substitute for in-person medical examination. Our platform is intended for non-emergency dermatological concerns.

The AI assistant (Cara) provides general skin care information and guidance. Cara's responses are not medical diagnoses and should not replace professional medical advice. Always follow your dermatologist's recommendations.

In case of a medical emergency, please contact your local emergency services immediately.

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading health information
• Use the platform for purposes other than dermatological care
• Harass, abuse, or behave inappropriately during consultations
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or compromise our platform
• Record consultations without consent from all parties

All content, features, and functionality of DermaGurus, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, are the exclusive property of DermaGurus and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any photos and content you upload to the platform. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to use it for providing our services.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DermaGurus and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access toDermaGurus at any time for violation of these terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
